About the Studio
Lake City, SC
I teach young beginners using the Suzuki method, where technique, song, and ear training are integrated to provide a well-rounded musical education. In our lessons, children will develop proper posture, form, and technique while learning musical concepts through fun games and songs. I also teach intermediate to advanced students.
I focus on developing the whole person, not just the violinist. In my studio, we cultivate important character traits like kindness, perseverance, self-confidence, and more.
For children who are 3 or 4 years old, an adult must be present in the lessons.

Tuition
Tuition is based on enrollment, not attendance. If a student misses a lesson due to illness, vacation, or any other reason, the lesson will not be made up or refunded. You are welcome to arrange a trade with another student to swap spots during the week or inquire about scheduling a Zoom lesson.

Each month, your child will receive three 1:1 lessons (four if it’s a five-week month) and one group lesson. Group lessons are an integral part of the Suzuki Method, helping students learn how to play together as an ensemble. These lessons provide an opportunity for your child to engage with other students at the same skill level in a collaborative setting.

Teaching Philosophy
Christine believes that music is a basic and essential human activity, and the joyful and fulfilling pursuit of creating it ought to be offered to all individuals. She sympathizes with the Suzuki perspective that encourages teaching toddlers and knows that Every Child Can, regardless of circumstance. Christine also supports adults who wish to begin or restart their musical journeys. She derives great joy from working with students coming from a variety of different circumstances and helping all of them to experience the bliss of making beautiful music in an ensemble and individually.
